Our travel consultants have been extremely busy building up their cruising expertise. Here is just a handful of ships our team have had the opportunity to experience in the last few years – whether it was a holiday or for a familiarisation trip they have the advice and recommendations only experts with first-hand knowledge can provide.
Brillance of the Seas
Brilliance of the Seas is the second Radiance-class ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet. The ship’s mediumish size — it holds some 2,112 passengers at double occupancy — allows cruisers to feel they have the best of both worlds: a vessel with ample activities and crew who provide attentive service.
As with all ships in the Radiance series, passengers are never at a loss for a view: the ship’s stunning nine-story central atrium is surrounded by glass, and elevators face the outside. Nearly every public area has a stunning view. Brilliance is suitably named, as the design of the ship is innovatively designed to be easy to navigate. The plethora of outdoor features, such as the rock climbing wall and mini-golf course are easy to find and no reservations are required.
Celebrity Eclipse
Celebrity Eclipse was the proud recipient of the “Best from the UK” award from the 2015 Cruise Critic – UK Cruisers’ Choice Awards.
Onboard Celebrity Eclipse, your journey becomes a destination in itself. Whether you choose to treat yourself to an indulgent treatment at the world-renowned Canyon Ranch spa, or get competitive with some games at the Lawn Club, there’s luxury on every level onboard Celebrity Eclipse.
As night falls, head to the Martini Bar where you can enjoy a cocktail; our talented bartenders transform mixing your evening drink into jaw-dropping entertainment. Or, simply sit back and admire the night sky from the Sunset Bar on the top deck.
Norwegian Epic
Awarded Best Cruise Ship Entertainment by Frommer’s, Norwegian Epic keeps the bar high with two new Broadway shows: Ballroom Blitz and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Not only is Norwegian Epic offering world-class performers but a new wave of accommodations as well – from Studios, designed and priced for the solo traveller, to privacy in The Haven. Add more than 20 different dining options and you’ll understand why this is Freestyle Cruising on a truly grand scale.
Adventure of the Seas
Adventure of the Seas debuted in 2001 as the third in the series of Royal Caribbean’s game-changing Voyager-class vessels (refurbished in 2016). Though Adventure has been bypassed in size and amenities by the Freedom-class trio and the massive Oasis-class twins, it’s still among the world’s larger ships, with a range of the most uncruise-like venues at sea, such as a rollerblading track, ice-skating rink and rock-climbing wall — not to mention the bustling hub that is Royal Promenade, a shopping mall-esque boulevard of retail stores, bars and cafes.
Celebrity Infinity
A proud member of our Millennium Class, Celebrity Infinity will take you sailing in style to both South America and Northern Europe.
Put simply, Celebrity Infinity is the trendiest hot spot at sea. This star of the Millennium Class shines even brighter thanks to her recent grand makeover. Expect gleaming new staterooms, enhanced public areas and freshness at the highest levels – literally – on the chic Rooftop Terrace. It’s home to A Taste of Film, where you can cosy down and catch an al fresco movie in intimate, comfortable surroundings. Grab yourself some themed drinks and snacks, and enjoy a show under the stars!
When you’re not onshore exploring exciting destinations, use your cruise on Celebrity Infinity to discover new culinary experiences. The cosy, rustic Tuscan Grille restaurant is the ultimate place for fresh pastas, dry-aged steaks and Italian cocktails.
Norwegian Sun
The Norwegian Sun brings guests to exciting destinations. Check out the extensive art collection, hit the hot tubs, or try your luck in the casino. There’s also a stocked library and basketball and volleyball courts.
There are 12 bars and lounges and 14 dining options aboard the Norwegian Sun — you’ll never go hungry. Indulge in authentic Tuscan cuisine at La Cucina, enjoy meats galore at Brazilian steakhouse Moderna, or taste little bites with big flavor at Las Ramblas Tapas.
The Norwegian Sun entertains you all the way to port with shows like Rock You Tonight, and energetic tribute to ‘70s rock icons. Get cultured with World Beat, a global musical journey. Kids love fun in the water at Splash academy while teens play video games in the arcade.
Independence of the Seas
After a multi-million pound makeover earlier this year (2018) the 3,858 passenger ship will be based in Southampton and sail European itineraries from May to November. Independence of the Seas remains one of the most popular Royal Caribbean ships. Independence comes complete with a state of the art Flowrider — a real wave surfing simulator — plus a rock climbing wall, the Royal Promenade, a sports court and an adult-only solarium. She also boasts extensive Wi-Fi capabilities and connectivity for mobile phones as well as flat-screen TVs in every stateroom. The ship features new activities including a virtual reality bungy trampoline, Skypad, Planet Z Laser tag, Perfect Storm water slides and escape room game Puzzle Break.
Celebrity Equinox
Sail the Caribbean islands in style all year round on Celebrity Equinox, a member of the stylish Solstice Class.
From the moment you board Celebrity Equinox for your next cruise, you’ll know: this ship is something special, with every level offering a number of unique experiences. Head to the Lawn Club to feel real grass under your toes as you look out over the ocean, or toast an unforgettable holiday at the renowned World Class Bar.
Bit of a foodie? There’s an incredible menu of dining venues to choose from onboard Celebrity Equinox. Order from an iPad at innovative Qsine, or indulge in a hearty steak at Tuscan Grille. If you’re in the mood to relax (you are on holiday after all), head to their Canyon Ranch spa® – and experience the most indulgent massages and facials at sea
Oasis of the Seas (Holiday Planned For May 2019)
The Oasis of the Seas offers amazing features. Take the family to Broadway’s smash hit musical, CATS, at sea. Or climb one of two 43-foot rock-climbing walls or surf a FlowRider®. Perhaps you’d like to try zip-lining over nine decks. Of course, you can also play basketball on a full court, go ice skating, watch a 3D movie or take in the sound and light show of the pool’s AquaTheater.
Quash your hunger easily with one of several dining spots aboard the Oasis of the Seas. Nosh on the six-course menu from 150 Central Park, by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. Or dig into a cooked-to-order cut at Chops Grille. Feeling spicy? Sabor Taqueria and Tequila Bar is a crowd pleaser, and Giovanni’s Table Italian restaurant is the perfect place for a meal with la famiglia.
Kids love interacting with Shrek and Kung Fu Panda via the DreamWorks Experience. The Oasis of the Seas also offers a splash-tastic time in the H2O Zone kids’ water park. Teens have dedicated hangout spots, and there’s even a carousel and a nursery.
