Rome
This destination has to be one of my favourite cities in the world. Historical monuments unfold at every corner. Throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain, Climb the Spanish Steps and take a visit to the Vatican City.
Carefree Tip:
If you’re planning a visit to Vatican Museum and St Peter’s Basilica it’s well worth booking skip the line and book a guided tour before you travel. Why not combine with another city e.g. Florence, Venice, Sorrento etc?
Venice
Located in the northeast of Italy, Venice is a romantic and enchanting city of turquoise canals, ancient palaces and serenading gondoliers. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the city’s contributions to art, architecture and music are evident around every corner. Whether you’re falling in love on a moonlit gondola ride or soothing your soul at an orchestral symphony, Venice promises to dazzle you with its artistic flair.
Carefree Tip:
In addition to the ‘must sees’ – St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge, and Palazzo Ducale – make sure to explore some of the lesser known corners as well.
Florence, Tuscany
Tuscany is a region in central Italy with an area of about 23,000 square kilometres and a population of about 3.8 million inhabitants. The regional capital is Florence. Florence’s museums, palaces, and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. The most popular and important sites in Florence include the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, the Bargello, and the Accademia.
Sorrento
Sorrento is a town overlooking the Bay of Naples in Southern Italy. A popular tourist destination due to its variety of small antique shops and location on the Amalfi Coast, it can be reached easily from Naples and Pompeii as it is at the south-eastern end of the Circumvesuviana rail line. The town is most commonly known for its small shops selling an arrangement of ceramics, lacework and marquetry.
Verona
Verona is a city on the Adige river in Veneto, Italy, with 258,108 inhabitants. It is one of the seven provincial capitals of the region. It is the second largest city municipality in the region and the third largest in northeast Italy. Romance and ruins clash in idyllic Italian harmony in this picturesque, UNESCO-stamped city. White-stone Porta Leoni is an old gate oozing character with two façades and remains of columns, while cinematic scenes can be found at Castel San Pietro.
