Boracay Island is a popular Honeymoon spot and well-known for its white-powder beaches, crystal-blue waters and vibrant, exotic atmosphere. Nature-lovers who enjoy hiking will also appreciate the island’s tropical, hilly landscape, which is populated by a variety of species of wildlife. With a balance of urban comforts and natural wonders, the island offers colourful shops and restaurants, a wide variety of beach activities and water sports as well as pristine beaches, scenic nature trails and diverse flora and fauna.
Visit Boracay’s popular and sought after beach when you set foot on the mesmerizing shores of White Beach. The swaying palm trees and endless breeze brings promise of a magical holiday in one of Philippines tourist destinations. Stretching 4 kilometres on the western side of the island, the pristine powdery white sand is hard to resist. White Beach has a generous sprinkling of entertainment and dining options. From water sports, bars, dive shops and restaurants, this beach caters to all fancies and desires. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely boat ride through the coves and alcoves of the surrounding island.
For the thrill seeker, Bulabog Beach has much to offer and can be considered one of the memorable tourist attractions in Boracay. Located on the opposite side of White Beach, this locality is ideal and popular for many wind sports. Windsurfing and kitesurfing prove to be the enjoyable, as the wind speeds provide excellent conditions during the early months of the year.
For a change in scenery from the windswept beaches of Boracay, venture towards the Butterfly Farm that has over 20 species of exotic butterflies and 150 plant species. Opened to the public since April 2005, this fascinating tourist attraction in Boracay is an escape in to a world dedicated for butterflies. The netted garden holds a treasure trove of over a hundred butterflies and the nursery adjoining the garden is where visitors can observe larvae and caterpillars. Educational and fun tours are also available to take you through the lush gardens, explaining the life cycle of a butterfly.
Boracay is a popular destination for Honeymooners in it’s own right, however why not explore more of Asia with a trip to China or Japan or combine along with another of Asia’s diverse Islands like Mauritius or Sri Lanka to make a once in a lifetime trip that you both will remember forever.
